Our attic and insulation inspections assess insulation type, coverage, and condition, as well as ventilation performance and potential air leakage. We identify deficiencies that can lead to heat loss, elevated energy costs, condensation, or long-term structural concerns. The inspection provides clear, actionable information to help ensure your insulation meets current performance expectations.

Thermal imaging is a non-invasive inspection method that uses infrared technology to detect temperature differences within building components. These differences can indicate hidden issues such as moisture intrusion, insulation deficiencies, air leakage, or overheating electrical components. During the inspection, a certified inspector scans accessible areas using a FLIR thermal imaging camera.

Mold is important to identify because it can affect indoor air quality, health, and the integrity of building materials. An inspection helps determine the presence of mold, moisture sources, and areas at risk for future growth. Surface or air sampling may be performed to support findings. Results are documented with clear recommendations for remediation or further evaluation if required.

(Wood Energy Technology Transfer) inspection is an evaluation of solid-fuel–burning appliances and venting systems to help ensure they are installed and operating safely. W.E.T.T. inspections verify compliance with applicable standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety clearances. Findings are clearly reported, with recommendations provided for corrections or further action when necessary.

The inspection includes checking fuel source tanks for levels, leaks and deficiencies, reviewing potential water intrusion points, and assessing roof conditions for signs of ice damming. Generator presence and basic operation are evaluated to help ensure reliable backup power when needed. The property is also examined for wildlife entry points, damage, or nesting concerns.
Gregory carries a strong foundation of formal education, industry-recognized training, and hands-on construction experience. Training includes the Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Program through Conestoga College (2014), 32 CEUC’s recognized by InterNACHI and current undertaking of ITC Level 1 Infrared Thermography Certification Program (2026).
In addition, Gregory is an Applicant of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (O.A.H.I) and brings over 10 years of inspection practices, and real-world performance.
